Hands-on support for Railways
Hands-on
support for
railway operations
FTR provides hands-on support for railways, using Road-Rail Vehicles and associated plant machines when required. From overhauling bogies to loco and rolling stock repairs and maintenance. FTR has the ability to lift railway vehicles for railways without lifting equipment. All practical work on site is completed safely, within possessions and alongside other contractors, where experienced coordination and situational awareness are required.
WHY FTR FITS INTO YOUR TEAM
FTR combines heritage and main line railway experience with a clear understanding of how projects run, allowing support to slot smoothly into existing teams when an extra, reliable and competent presence is needed on site.
Assessments
and
technical
guidance
FTR supports owners and operators by providing clear, practical insight into rolling stock and assets, without overcomplicating the process.
This includes condition reports and inspections of vehicles, input into discussions around value and options and next steps when overhauling a vehicle. Where useful, FTR can also offer guidance and advice on how proposed changes may affect the operation of a vehicle, particularly for owners without a railway background.
A practical
way to get
work
done
Most projects start with a straightforward conversation about what support is needed and how FTR can fit alongside existing teams and contractors.
From there, involvement is shaped to suit the job. This can range from short-term site support or specific technical input, through to longer periods of hands-on involvement during busy or complex phases. The emphasis is on being useful, adaptable and easy to work with on site.
